Ingo Maurer

Ingo Maurer started designing exceptional lamps, lighting systems and objects around the 1960s. Ingo Maurer GmbH, which is based in Munich, has been producing and distributing its products worldwide since the very beginning. Other than the studio and offices they also have a large showroom in Munich. An older, but smaller showroom run directly by Ingo Maurer is located in Soho, New York. Over the years Ingo Maurer and his team have managed to grow constantly. This mainly by developing lighting concepts and spectacular one-offs for private and public buildings. Among the companies’ most famous designs are the Bulb (1966), the low-voltage halogen system YaYaHo (1984) and Lucellino (1992), a winged light bulb.
