The Overlap is a pendant lamp that is shaped out of two intertwined rings that seem to want to escape out of a cocoon membrane.
Michael Anastassiades founded his studio in 1994. Anastassiades designs objects, furniture and lamps. His designs can be described as minimal but playful.
The Overlap pendant lamp is a beautiful result of a productive partnership between Flos and Michael Anastassiades. Two intertwined rings make the shape of this pendant lamp. Anastassiades streched a membrane of cocoon over the rings. The cocoon material is a material that has been used by Flos for other designs and in previous partnerships with other designers. The way in which the material is stretched over the shape of this pendant lamp, gives this design a spectacular modern look.
