Mega Bulb was designed by Sofie Refer for &Tradition. Sofie Refers playfully remakes a true classic with her design for Mega Bulb. By using thick transparant glass, Refer refers to the first electrical light bulbs.

Design and Method

The Mega Bulb lamp is made out of mouth blown glass. This method shows Refer’s passion. The small irregularities make each Mega Bulb lamp unique. They add the story of the of the glass master’s personal efforts in changing sand, soda and chalk into a modern classic using a thousand year old method.
