Achille Castiglioni (1918-2002) is the son of a sculptor and immersed himself in the study of forms, techniques and new materials after studying architecture. In his long career, he designed not only lighting but also furniture, appliances, home accessories and more. At first glance, his designs seem assembled from randomly found objects, reflecting his experimental attitude. Yet time and again, he manages to design original and playful design pieces with a practical undertone.
