Catellani & Smith started the adventure with the Turciù series and Albero della Luce. The Turciù series are a design of Enzo Catellani himself and was named after the fact that every “light arm” was and is possible to turn and move to a unique creation of light. Thus, each time an unparallelled interaction is created between user and object. This series is mostly known for the imposing Albero della Luce, literally ‘tree of light’.

Between 2000 and 2010 there is a turnover in the vision of Castellani & Smith, the idea of the sculptural makes place for the ‘pure light’, visible in the Lucenera collection.
