Louis Poulsen Yuh
The Yuh lamp provides a downward-facing, glare-free light. The screen angle can be adjusted for optimal light distribution. A small opening at the top of the screen provides soft, atmospheric upward lighting. The mechanical system offers a lot of freedom of movement, so the light beam can always be directed to the desired spot.
Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi designed Yuh for Louis Poulsen in 2017. Originally released in black and white, the series was later expanded to include brass and marble versions. Indeed, one of the main features of this lamp is that the Yuh wants to be personal above all else. The lighting is flexible and the lamp takes up little space. The lamp can be rotated, adjusted higher and lower and creates an atmospheric light in the desired location. The geometric shape of the screen follows the movement of the screen on the stand. A minimalist look that stems from a round shape at the bottom to a linear opening at the top of the screen. Yuh is the phonetic form of the English word 'you'. The letters represent the sound of the voice when pronouncing 'you'.
