The Frisbi Pendant Lamp was designed by Achille Castiglioni. The founder of the Italian Design movement was inspired by a flat frisbi disk, which he interpreted into a pendant lamp that provides direct light.
At the base of this complex design, Castiglioni attached an opaline white disk in polymethylmethacrylate with three fine steel cables to the body of the lamp. The light source is enclosed by a chrome lamp shade. This shade floats over the frisbi disk, providing a diffused and reflected light effect.
